Baker Communications has created a powerful one-day Effective Assertiveness Practices workshop to give you and your team the ability to communicate effectively and work through difficult issues in an atmosphere of collaboration and respect. Under the guidance of our professional assertiveness trainers, you will learn how to say how you really feel and ask for what you really need in a way that protects your own sense of self-worth without threatening or disrespecting others. This highly practice driven workshop uses a variety of interactive exercises and activities to help you refine your new assertiveness skills so that you can use them with confidence in any situation.

Objectives:

Participants will learn to:

  • How to recognize and work with various behavioral styles in order to enhance communication.
  • What anger is, and what constitutes healthy expressions of anger.
  • Effective ways to evaluation their own feelings and needs, in order to make sure they are not ignoring important issues out of a fear of conflict.
  • How to express feelings and ask for needs to be met without provoking confrontations with others.
  • A proven technique for setting boundaries with others in order to preserve mutual respect and cooperation.
