Baker Communications Responds to Dot Foods’ Request for Listening Skills Training

Dot Foods, the largest food redistributors in the United States, has asked Baker Communications to deliver targeted Listening Skills training to their management teams. Dot Foods managers had previously experienced one of Baker’s open-enrollment workshops and were impressed with the instructor and the quality of the training. When a new training need arose, the company was quick to turn to the industry experts. They requested that Baker deliver a customized Listening Skills training course targeted to address issues in their management groups.


A Listening Skills Training Expert and Senior Level Instructor with Baker Communications will travel to Illinois to work with Dot Foods managers. Participants in this interactive listening skills training workshop will learn about key principles of effective interpersonal communication and techniques for improving their listening skills. Managers will have the opportunity to assess their own personality type and those of their team members, increasing their understanding of and empathy for the people they work with daily. Essential skills such as active listening, effective questioning, and confirming understanding will equip attendees with the tools necessary to become better listeners and better managers.
