About Summit Community Care Clinic
Summit Community Care Clinic is a volunteer-based acute care clinic. The Clinic grew out of community concern for the healthcare of its many seasonal workers. The community conducted a Blue Ribbon Health Care Forum that highlighted the healthcare needs of seasonal workers and lower-income residents of the county. In 1993, the Community Care Clinic opened as a result of a committee of local public health and private health providers. The Community Care Clinic provides short-term, acute care to uninsured clients. The Clinic is housed in Summit County’s Public Health Nursing Office.
