The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Partners With Baker Communications for Sexual Harassment Awareness Training

The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the independent agency that overseas the use of nuclear materials nationwide, has chosen Baker Communications to provide Sexual Harassment Awareness Training to their personnel. No one understands the importance of problem prevention like the NRC. The NRC was looking for a training program to ensure compliance with the sensitive and comprehensive laws regarding sexual harassment. More importantly, the NRC wanted a training platform that would help them create a professional and safe working environment for all personnel. After contacting a Baker Communications needs assessment specialist, the NRC knew at once that Baker’s Sexual Harassment Awareness Training could be tailored to protect the NRC and its employees.

A Baker Communications Senior Level Instructor who is a Sexual Harassment Awareness Training Expert will travel to Houston, Texas to coach the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission participants. During the training event, attendees will receive in-depth training regarding all federal and state regulations relating to sexual harassment in the workplace, and learn how to apply proven strategies and skills to create a safe and positive workplace environment. Throughout the Sexual Harassment Awareness Training workshop, all attendees will gain experience properly responding to and reporting inappropriate activity so that their workplace will remain in compliance with the law at all times.

About U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) was created as an independent agency by Congress in 1974 to enable the nation to safely use radioactive materials for beneficial civilian purposes while ensuring that people and the environment are protected. The NRC regulates commercial nuclear power plants and other uses of nuclear materials, such as in nuclear medicine, through licensing, inspection and enforcement of its requirements. Today, the NRC's regulatory activities are focused on reactor safety oversight and reactor license renewal of existing plants, materials safety oversight and materials licensing for a variety of purposes, and waste management of both high-level waste and low-level waste.
