Jeffrey S.K. "Jeff" Williams, Senior Consultant
Jeff is a long-time resident
of Houston. He attended Dartmouth College, the
University of Arkansas, and the University of Houston,
earning undergraduate degrees in Economics and
Psychology with a Math minor, a Master's in
Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and completing
extensive doctoral coursework in Organizational
Behavior and research into group decision-making. Jeff
is a long-time member and officer in the Houston
Organization Development Network and has been
associated for years with local chapters of the
American Society for Training and Development, Houston
Human Resources Management Association, and Houston
Area I/O Psychologists. Prior to joining Baker
Communications, Jeff had his own independent
consulting practice specializing in leadership
development, change management, and executive
coaching.
For 12 years Jeff managed the Training,
Organization Development, Staffing, and/or Human
Resources functions for companies in the oil & gas
and aerospace industries. In these roles he
facilitated needed change at both individual and
group/organization levels through training, leading
process improvement efforts, facilitating workshops
and meetings, and individual coaching. Jeff created
and implemented innovative HR systems in areas such as
manpower planning, performance management, and
employee selection. Jeff has worked in technical
companies at the plant, division, and corporate level,
and he is knowledgeable about the business processes
and associated human resource needs of the refining,
chemical, gas processing, and upstream oil & gas
industries.
Jeff has 10 years experience as a management
consultant with several firms. In this role he created
leadership development programs, designed selection
and performance management systems, did executive
assessment, coached and counseled clients, and
conducted change management and career development
programs. Jeff also taught Psychology courses for 4
years at the university level.

Jeff met his wife Janet
Penner Williams at the University of Houston where
they were both students. They were married in 1978 and
have lived since 1979 in Friendswood, Texas with their
daughter Anna Elizabeth Williams. She is an Honors
Program student at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin
working toward a career in Occupational Therapy.
