Rick is an Executive Consultant with Baker
Communications. He has over 30 years of sales, marketing and
management experience with companies that have dominated
their market segments. Throughout his career, Rick held
positions as Sales Representative, Regional Manager,
National Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales and
Marketing, Executive Vice President, President and CEO.
He worked for Computer Sciences Corporation, Integrated
Software Systems (Computer Associates), Xycor, Smartstar,
and Synon, Inc. Rick’s knowledge of strategic sales and
marketing approaches has helped each of these companies
achieve dominance within their respective markets. His real
life experiences allowed him to formulate the theories of
sales and marketing that form the basis of highly effective
consulting and training engagements. He has created a series
of revenue enhancement models that have proven to accelerate
revenue growth for virtually every one of his clients. His
depth of experience commands credibility in both the
boardroom and the classroom. He regularly addresses business
conferences and has published articles in periodicals such
as The Culpepper News Letter, VAR Business, Reseller
Management, and Sales & Marketing Management Magazine. He is
also the author of the Pinnacle Affect and listed in Who’s
Who in Business.
Rick holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in
Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a
member of numerous professional organizations including the
Austin Technology Council, the Houston Technology Center and
the Greater Houston Partnership. He also teaches at the Mays
School of Business at Texas A&M University.
