Thomas is a Senior Instructor for Baker Communications. With a background in Theater and Education, Tom is a dynamic speaker with energy and enthusiasm and a passion for training. His abilities to effectively communicate and engage participants in his classes have been hallmarks of his training career.

Tom has extensive experience in Sales and Customer Service Training as well as Sales Management. He has held sales positions that have been invaluable in understanding the day-to-day reality and key factors in the success of business. His experience includes: Independent Sales Representative, Regional Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, and National Sales Trainer. He has also designed and written training programs and marketing plans.

Tom has experience in every stage of the business process: interviewing, hiring, training, and managing. His training programs have ranged from Organizational Skills like Time and Territory Management to Prospecting to Consultative Selling that enables skillful Negotiation and Sales Closing.

Tom’s training resume includes his position as Executive Facilitator for The Center For Customer Focus in Colorado Springs, CO. Working with corporate giants like 3M and UPS, Tom delivered training that applied the concepts of customer focus to services, products, policies and procedures at every level of operation.

Tom graduated from Goddard College in Vermont. He earned a B.A. with a major in Theater and a minor in Education.

Thomas lives in Santa Barbara, CA with his wife, Phyllis and son, Adam. After his devotion to family, his second love is music. He is a musician and a member of a band, singing lead vocals and playing guitar and mandolin.
