Stress Management for Stressed Managers Workshop

Highly effective managers are very good at getting things done. What they are not always good at is knowing when to slow down, detach, decompress and quit being a manager for a little while. Ironically, it is the manager who knows when to quit – at least for a little while – who will be able to maintain an effective edge for years to come.

Baker Communications has developed a unique one-day stress reduction class called Stress Management for Stressed Managers to help great managers retain their edge by knowing when and how to let go. Our skilled stress management instructors will guide you through an enlightening and liberating program featuring highly interactive, engaging exercises and activities to help you discover ways to unload stress and keep it off.

On-Site Training: can be tailored to the needs of client organization and delivered on-site at time and location of client choice.

Objectives:

Participants will learn to:

  • How to evaluate their balance of activities in order to create a well rounded and fulfilling life focus.

  • How to use a simple assessment tool to measure their risk for becoming a workaholic.

  • Techniques for practicing assertiveness and channeling anger and frustration in ways that are safe and constructive.

  • Best practices for dealing with conflict and difficult people.

  • Strategies for delegating tasks to reduce stress and create opportunities for more creative activities.

  • Proven relaxation techniques to reduce physical symptoms of stress associated with muscle tension, blood pressure and heart rate.
