Caterpillar Forklift America Training Testimonials
I am writing to recognize the efforts of two of your associates and to let you know about an excellent training experience at MCFA resulting from their efforts.
Several months ago I spoke with Marisa Hamilton, my Baker Communications Account Representative, about presenting classes on Effective Business Writing Skills at MCFA. I asked Marisa about varying from the standard course offered by Baker and presenting a longer series of weekly classes. My reason for the modified approach was to ensure long term learning of the basic skills. Marisa listened to my request and arranged a meeting with course instructor Paula Descant to explore how such a course could be developed, not if it could be developed. This attitude and behavior on Marisa's part is the primary reason I continue to build a relationship with your organization. It is a pleasure to do business with someone more interested in listening to, and meeting, my needs than selling the "canned" courses.
After meeting with
Paula, I was excited to see she was
eager to try a new approach with the
Business Writing Skills material. She
quickly prepared an outline of the
course which met the needs of our
workforce and a schedule was developed.
The schedule was a rigorous one for
Paula, requiring seven weekly classes of
three hours each.
As the classes progressed I was
impressed with Paula's abilities. She is
very knowledgeable, extremely energetic,
and sincerely interested in the personal
development of each student. The class
participants were even more impressed
with Paula. Every week I received
e-mails, telephone calls and personal
visits from students with glowing
reviews of Paula and the classes. By the
end of the third week of class, I had
enough people sign up to schedule four
more sessions, based only on
word-of-mouth advertising.
Currently, Marisa, Paula, and I are discussing other classes which could become an on-going part of our internal MCFA University. I am certain we will find other opportunities.
You should be proud to have associates like Marisa and Paula who place building a relationship over generating quick sales. Please take an opportunity to recognize them for the efforts they put forth.
