A full-court press to implement a uniform sales effectiveness strategy by one of the world’s largest technology companies has led to a major success for Baker Communications.


A global technology company employing thousands of sales team covering dozens of segments (Federal, Education, Corporate Accounts, Services, etc) – reached a critical stage in their need for a uniform CRM application and sales process. They launched a company-wide salesforce.com  implementation with the goal that every segment and every team would adopt salesforce.com as the exclusive CRM product to support sales effectiveness improvement efforts.


Several third-party training contractors - including Baker Communications – were selected to assist in the delivery of salesforce.com and sales process training, and an urgent training effort was launched. A team of 10 Baker Communications instructors were mobilized to attend a Train the Trainer event conducted by salesforce.com trainers, in order to become certified on their ground-breaking CRM tool.


The first waves of salesforce.com training sessions were delivered to teams of outside sales reps during a national sales event. During these initial training classes, Baker Communications instructors continually rated higher than any other third-party training contractor. Baker instructors were rated so highly, in fact, that the decision was made to certify even more Baker instructors on salesforce.com to support further roll outs.


As the project evolved, Baker Communications was selected as the sole third party provider delivering salesforce.com training to new employees. Since the initial roll-out, Baker Communications has trained approximately 5000 sales professionals on how to best use salesforce.com and a custom sales process methodology for inside sales, outside sales, technical sales and sales management. Classes have been delivered all over the US, Canada, and Latin America in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
