Walter Rogers currently serves as the Chairman of Baker Communications and the CEO of MontyCloud. Baker Communications excels in sales consulting, helping enterprises develop and maintain effective sales strategies, including AWS's Outcome Based Account Management programs. MontyCloud is at the forefront of autonomous cloud operations platforms, tailored for AWS Managed Service Providers and Systems Integrators.
Before his current roles, Walter embarked on entrepreneurial ventures, founding three software companies that achieved successful exits. CloudChomp, a pre-migration assessment tool for AWS migrations, garnered VMware's interest and was acquired in 2021. Asset Optimization Group, specializing in IT capacity planning software, followed a similar path and was also acquired by VMware in 2003. Additionally, CertiSource, a cloud-based transaction management provider catering to clients like EDS, HP, and Arthur Andersen, was acquired by VerticalNet in 1999.
Furthermore, Walter has been interviewed on over 100 shows, including Bloomberg, CNN, CBS, ABC, and Salesforce Live. These interviews covered topics ranging from Sales, CRM, Sales Management, and Corporate Productivity, to education and learning technology. His passion for CRM-enabled sales performance transformation inspired him to write two books. One of these books, "Pathways to Growth," was co-authored with his long-time friend Tony Robbins, with the foreword written by Marc Benioff.
