Baker Communications has been chosen as a training partner by the Independent School District of Galveston, Texas. Baker will deliver customized Exceptional Customer Service training for Galveston ISD employees. The school district was seeking a training partner to improve employees’ personal interaction and communication skills, and selected Baker based on their experience training employees of educational institutions, locally based instructors, and experiential workshop design.
An Exceptional Customer Service Training Expert and Senior Level Instructor will travel to Galveston to work with ISD employees. During this highly interactive workshop, participants will learn and practice strategies to defuse conflict and create rapport with others. Attendees will also learn effective techniques such as the 3 Fs Communication Model - Handling Feelings, Finding Facts, and Finding Solutions - enhancing their ability to serve students, parents, the community and school administration, and benefiting both the school district and its students.

About Galveston ISD
The district serves approximately 6,300 students, including the Island and Bolivar Peninsula, and operates one high school, two middle schools, five elementary schools and one Pre-K through eighth grade campus on Bolivar Peninsula. The district also offers alternative education programs and accelerated instruction programs for elementary, middle and high school students. The Accelerated Instruction Model or AIM program allows students to catch up to their grade level or in the case of high school allows students to obtain their high school credits at their own pace to graduate.
