Baker Communications Developing International Trainers to Meet Oil and Gas Company Needs

Baker Communications is completing a large-scale international expansion designed to meet the broad global needs of oilfield service firms across the globe. Due to the extensive relationships Baker Communications has established with four of the five largest oilfield service firms in the world, a new breed of trainer has been brought on board to meet various oil industry needs in areas such as presentations, communications, negotiations, customer service and time management.


As oilfield service firms continue reaching out into more distant international locations, it has become evident that using an Americas-based training model to service other continents was not sustainable. Therefore, Baker Communications began a wide-reaching international initiative to bring on senior trainers. Utilizing existing global contacts and insight from clients, the company began interviewing potential trainers. Many had experience not only in the energy industry but in other diverse industries such as telecommunications, technology, government, hospitality, construction and manufacturing. Today, Baker Communications has trainers on six continents, with teams located in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Singapore, Dubai, Nairobi, Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo and Cordoba. Additional trainers will soon be joining Baker in Moscow and London.


The end result is a truly global approach suitable for clients in any international industry, regardless of subject or culture. Oilfield service companies can now rely on Baker’s ability to meet their training needs, not only via local trainers in locations like Aberdeen, but in other areas across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
